MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The Oklahoma School for the Blind’s running club will sponsor a Fall Panther Prowl road race beginning at 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15.
The event is open to the public. There is no entry fee and all student participants will receive ribbons. Pre-registration is encouraged and will be open until Tuesday, November 14.
Participants will walk or run on certified 1k, 3k and 5k courses marked and monitored on the service road and sidewalks on the OSB campus at 3300 Gibson in Muskogee.
A kilometer is 0.62 of a mile, which makes a 5 kilometer race approximately equal to 3.1 miles.
The OSB service road and back parking lots will be closed to all traffic immediately before, during and after the race and the awards ceremony.
The start and finish lines will be in the parking lot west of the school gym.
First Baptist Church of Stigler has donated the use of the timing system.
Glenndale Grace Farm of Fort Gibson has donated the awards.
The OSB running club has also scheduled a spring 5k scheduled for April.
